He actively advises early-stage companies and is a mentor within the FinTech Sandbox, Startup Bootcamp, and INV FinTech ecosystems.
Jamie Wise is the CEO of BUZZ Indexes and Periscope Capital, a Toronto-based hedge fund. BUZZ Indexes creates proprietary portfolio strategies based on sentiment derived from artificial intelligence frameworks. Periscope Capital is an alternative investment asset manager focused on cross-asset arbitrage strategies. Mr. Wise graduated first in his class from the Ivey School of Business and holds the CFA designation.
Richard Johnson is an equities and technology expert in Market Structure and Technology. He has 20 years of industry experience in financial markets. Richard began his career at BARRA, from MSCI BARRA he joined IITG. He was a founding employee at Miletus Trading where he served as the Head of Sales & Trading. In 2007, Richard led the sale of Miletus to Liquidnet. In 2013 he joined Société Générale where he ran Electronic Trading in the Americas.
Richard holds a BA in Economics and Statistics from the University of Exeter.
Prior to starting Accrete.AI, Prashant spent a decade conducting microstructure research and building algorithmic trading systems for trading firms and hedge funds. Prashant has won an IBM Beacon Award for Best New Application by an Entrepreneur and has been honored as an IBM Champion as well as an IBM Wild Duck. Prashant was also the first entrepreneur to have been featured in an IBM Watson tv ad campaign and the only one to have demonstrated quantifiable results.
Mutisya has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. Mutisya also plays an active role in the development of the company’s machine learning technologies. Previously, Mutisya was the Head of Strategy & Business Development for Bloomberg’s Enterprise Solutions. Prior to Bloomberg, he was the Head of North America Business Development for SIG. Mutisya holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and a Master’s Degree in Financial Engineering from Cornell University.
Alexander Fleiss serves as CEO of Rebellion Research, a financial advisory, hedge fund & economic forecaster. Rebellion invests across all asset classes and utilizes a proprietary AI Machine Learning that monitors data from 53 countries. Prior to co-founding Rebellion Research in 2007, Mr. Fleiss served as a Principal at KMF Partners LP, a long-short US equity fund. He began his investment career as an analyst for Sloate, Weisman, Murray & Co which was acquired by Neuberger Berman. Mr. Fleiss received a BA Degree from Amherst College where he also was a Project Manager at an Amherst College funded K Means Clustering Research Group.
Dr. Paul Nemirovsky is the cofounder and CEO of dMetrics. Supported by a team of award-winning natural language processing (NLP) experts, dMetrics serves some of the world's largest pharmaceutical, banking, and insurance firms. Prior to dMetrics, Paul has launched and led many projects in the field of Human Computer Interaction, in startups, at MIT, and in partnership with Fortune 500 companies. He is the author of 15 academic publications, 3 book chapters, as well as numerous musical compositions and interactive exhibits. His work has been exhibited at Centre Pompidou, Decordova Museum, and other venues. Paul received his doctorate from MIT, where he focused on machine learning and information retrieval, with applications to audio, video, and text.
Douglas Yones is the Head of Exchange Traded Products at the NYSE, where he oversees the team responsible for the delivery of customized, full service end-to-end capabilities for ETP and Closed End Fund Issuers. Prior to joining the NYSE, Douglas spent 17 years at The Vanguard Group. From 2007 through 2015, Douglas worked on the development and launch of numerous ETFs in the U.S., U.K., and Canada. He also spent a number of years in Hong Kong, responsible for the development and launch of the regional ETF business for Vanguard in Asia. Douglas holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation with the American College, an M.B.A from Villanova University, his undergraduate degree from the Pennsylvania State University, and is a registered General Securities Principal with FINRA.
